Van Buren Housing Authority

The Van Buren Housing Authority (VBHA) was organized on May 18th, 1960, pursuant to the Housing Authority Act of Arkansas. Our goal is to provide drug free, safe, clean housing for eligible families. The Van Buren Housing Authority also promotes and provides opportunities to promote self-sufficiency and economic independence for our residents.

In order to achieve this mission we will:

  • Recognize residents as our ultimate customer
  • Improve Van Buren Housing Authority (VBHA) management and service delivery efforts through effective and efficient management of VBHA staff
  • Seek problem-solving partnerships with residents, community, and government leadership, planning and development
  • Apply Van Buren Housing Authority resources to the effective and efficient management and operation of public housing programs, taking into account changes in Federal funding

VBHA currently owns and manages 199 units of public housing in Van Buren, Arkansas. Van Buren Housing Authority also manages 40 units of public housing in Ozark, Arkansas.
